Dassault Systèmes is at the forefront of driving digital transformation for major aerospace and defense companies through its cutting-edge virtual twin experience platforms. These powerful solutions enable customers to leverage data from the real world and the virtual world to gain insights, optimize operations, and unlock new efficiencies.

In a recent discussion, David Ziegler, Vice President of Aerospace & Defense Industry at Dassault Systèmes, and Morgan Zimmermann, CEO of NETVIBES (a Dassault Systèmes brand), highlighted the paradigm shift required to solve key industry challenges.

“One key aspect of solving these key challenges is simply put to reveal your virtual twin experience your patrimony of engineering science but at the same time confront it with the real-world leverage what we call Real World experience,” said Ziegler.

Zimmermann elaborated on the power of combining real-world data with virtual models: “To connect the real world with the virtual world, the vehicle to do that is the virtual twin experience which actually is providing the abstraction, the representation model that allows to interpret all of that data.”

Dassault Systèmes’ solutions are enabling major transformations for leading aerospace and defense organizations.

“With Dassault Aviation for Dassault Aviation we are essentially leveraging all the flight operations data from the fleet of Rafale for the French Air Force,” Zimmermann explained. “We are making sense and knowledge of all that data and that enables, in turn, Dassault Aviation to reduce the cost of sustainment of the fleet for the French Air Force, but as well maximize the availability of their product for the end customer.”

Addressing supply chain volatility, a major concern for the industry, Zimmermann noted: “We are providing industry process experiences in the automotive sector that are likely highly applicable to aerospace and defense. Leveraging our out-of-the-box automotive industry process experiences for aerospace and defense offers a shortcut to accelerated value for your customers.”

Dassault Systèmes is achieving its goals through advanced data science and virtual twin experiences, empowering aerospace and defense leaders to transform operations, drive efficiencies, and excel in an increasingly complex environment.
