Mappa’s flagship product is the Mappa Engine, a proprietary 3D gaming engine equipped with an NFT marketplace and no-code creator tools that enable players to construct their own 3D worlds and mini-games.

The startup is currently developing a launch title called Mappa City that enables players to earn NFTs and cryptocurrency by joining multiplayer scavenger hunts in gamified versions of real cities. Mappa City is currently in private testing with a public alpha planned for Q1 2023.

2. MetaVersus

MetaVersus is the true union of AAA gaming and blockchain mechanics brought together in an expansive virtual universe. It is not creating a play-2-earn game but is initiating the creation of a true Metaverse by participating with all Web3 companies to help unite the building blocks.

A landscape defined by stunning architecture, MetaVersus excites the senses with abundant art, competitive gaming and creative virtual spaces. All this combines to offer the most thrilling and provocative experiences a digital world can offer.

As a digital extension to your physical self (rather than an alternative), MetaVersus uses next-gen technologies to create realistic avatars to accurately represent users in the digital world. It is an immersive collective of worlds designed to foster multiple interconnected decentralized economies and governance.

Its ecosystem attracts players, partners and investors who value ownership, governance, creativity, competition, entrepreneurial spirit, fun, and social interaction in an ever-expanding and limitless multiverse.

With headquarters in London, MetaVersus was founded in 2021 by Tim Rainer, Bosco Bellinghausen and Moray Hickes — this team of visionaries has a goal to take gaming and their version of a Metaverse one step beyond its competitors.

3. Ubitus

Founded in 2013 by Wesley Kuo, Tokyo-based Ubitus is a young and vibrant company that operates the world’s best GPU virtualization technology and cloud streaming platform, and is dedicated to providing a superior user experience via its advanced technology.

With its comprehensive Game Development Kit (GDK), Ubitus provides a fast-to-market cloud game transformation solution to support game companies worldwide. Furthermore, Ubitus offers a turnkey solution, including a game library with hundreds of attractive game titles, to partners such as telecom carriers and cable operators that are interested in building their own cloud game platform and brand around the world.

4. MetaJuice

MetaJuice — a new division launched by Together Labs in 2021 — is building blockchain-driven assets that unlock the value of the Metaverse where users can create, earn, own and shape the future.

Through meta tokens such as VCORE and VCOIN, and NFTs, MetaJuice will realize its vision; creating a world where everyone can participate and share in its success.

5. PlaceWar

PlaceWar is a multi-chain with highly engaging artillery game that allows players to create and define the outlook of the in-game world through building, battles and alliances founded in 2021 by Myrtle Anne Ramos.

Inspired by Worm and r/place, PlaceWar creates a gamified and open Internet culture Metaverse and puts users in control, guaranteeing a gaming experience that users have never seen before in any other Play-To-Earn games. PlaceWar integrates battle and creation, making sure there is an incentive mechanism to support them both.
