LONDON, 21st SEPTEMBER, 2023: Iconic British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams is making his first foray into the Web3 space by partnering with AI-powered lifestyle metaverse platform, LightCycle. Robbie will bring an extraordinary and deeply personal performance of his 25-year anniversary live show to the biggest new world stage of all. Fans worldwide will be given unprecedented access to one of music’s most celebrated artists through a 3D metaverse experience, extending his legacy to the digitally inclined.
Set to launch in Q4 of 2023, LightCycle is a hyper-realistic virtual city, set to become the go-to destination for art, film, gaming, music, fashion, sport, property and retail. Powered by AI technology, it empowers users, businesses and brands to create commercial installations, or purchase land and other digital assets through a seamless and secure virtual experience. Users will be immersed in a bustling virtual commercial city where they can engage with their communities in new ways, interact with their favourite brands in a stunning 3D environment, experience live sport and music events, browse NFT collections in an NFT exhibition hall, or visit the fashionverse district.
A preview of the landmark Robbie Williams metaverse event will be unveiled as part of a LightCycle preview night at EDGE Global Web3 and AI Investment Summit, taking place in Hong Kong at the AsiaWorld-Expo on 26th and 27th September 2023. The eagerly anticipated LightCycle’ night will include an augmented reality showcase, treating attendees to a taste of what fans can expect when the live Robbie Willams’ music event streams on LightCycle’s platform later this year. Full details of the metaverse event and ticket sales will soon be announced.
The partnership, formed between Williams and Vertexlabs.uk, is a significant milestone for Vertexlabs.uk’s AI-powered lifestyle metaverse platform, LightCycle. It represents a natural evolution in Robbie Williams’ solo career, whose initiation into the realm began with his recent AI-assisted composition of “Angels (Beethoven AI”).
Robbie Williams said: “Staying connected with my fans has always been important to me. I’m fascinated by the Web3 space – it’s full of creativity and mind-blowing potential. It’s also a big new market for music discovery. As an artist, I’m always looking for ways to push forward so this is the perfect next step in that journey. The talented development team at LightCycle have produced some incredible work and I’m excited to see it all brought to life in full 3D glory.”
Sara Ezen, CEO of LightCycle added: “Robbie has a dedicated and passionate fanbase and we believe that, through our unparalleled technology, we can bring them a supremely enhanced environment and fan-experience. The concert is truly something special and we’re excited to be giving it a home in LightCycle so his fans, new and old, can enjoy next-level interaction and engagement. We are looking forward to seeing where we can go with this.”
Ander Tsui, Founder & CEO of Vertexlabs.uk added: “Robbie is a visionary creative and, as the ultimate showman, his music and songs have had a huge cultural impact. We are enormously excited to be bringing this super special performance into LightCycle. We’ve had a lot of fun creating the project and we can’t wait to share it with the world. We hope that, through Robbie’s initiation into Web3, new and existing fans can elevate their entertainment experience in a virtually enhanced way.”
