Chennai-based company Skillveri uses immersive technology such as virtual reality to build simulations designed to train industrial workers to upskill workers and, in return, reduce training time and costs, improving operational efficiency.

Using these immersive technologies, such as the Meta Quest line of headsets, the company has developed software to teach industrial workers skills such as welding and installing solar panels.

Skillveri has trained over two and a half million in industry training with over four hundred installations. Interestingly, the company has found success when marketing to Western audiences, such as the United States, compared to the Eastern world, due to the need to gain experience before undertaking industrial roles.
