TwinMatrix Technologies is leading the path to bridge the gap between those physical and digital worlds in this fast-changing technology landscape. Founded by Eric Liu, it specializes in creating spatial digital twins by blending real-world environments with their digital counterparts.
“We digitize physical places so that it’s not just a completely random virtual world,” Liu explained in a recent podcast. “We create the virtual world that’s tied to the physical location.” This groundbreaking approach opens up a realm of possibilities for enhancing operational efficiency and elevating consumer experiences.
One of TwinMatrix’s most significant achievements is the digital mapping of Changi Airport in Singapore, one of the world’s top airports. Liu elaborated: “We created a whole digital infrastructure that includes mapping all of their terminals, as well as this major shopping center called Jewel.”
Keeping these digital replicas up-to-date is a crucial challenge, and TwinMatrix has developed innovative solutions.
“We created a lot of very easy-to-use tools so that they can literally just on their phone, just tap, tap, tap, and they keep it up to date,” Liu said. “We empower the entire airport or the zoo or the theme park to keep it up to date.”
But TwinMatrix’s vision extends far beyond operational excellence. Liu sees immense potential in integrating Web3 technologies, such as NFTs and digital real estate, with spatial computing.
“Everything these days, as long as there’s a deed or some type of way to connect the physical with digital and it’s proven, then that’s something where a lot of the technologies we’re building today will actually empower that future,” he asserted.
Furthermore, Liu sees gamified experiences that incentivize people to explore and interact with the physical world while collecting digital assets.
“It could be gamified versions, or it could be spatial advertising if you opt into it,” he said. “Really what you care about is the digital layers and digital information that you care about.”
TwinMatrix’s partnership with TBH, a company revolutionizing the telecommunication sector with its Web3 infrastructure services, underscores the significance of their work. As Liu stated: “TBH is going to be doing a lot more PR focused on [TwinMatrix’s progress],” highlighting the collaborative efforts to build a comprehensive digital ecosystem.
TwinMatrix Technologies is in an extremely unique confluence with being so innovative in the approach toward spatial computing, with serious commitments to integrating Web3 technologies in the most disruptive way possible.
