Dassault Systèmes is one of the leading providers of digital twins in Europe. Dassault Systèmes has built a digital twin platform, the 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)Platform. The service allows Dassault customers to develop 3D realistic digital twins for various use cases. Likewise, it is the perfect collaboration forum for Dassault employees and customers to build solutions remotely in real time.
Based on the cloud, 3DX has been used by organizations such as Jaguar Land Rover to build digital twins. Jaguar Land Rover is onboarding its staff onto the platform, deploying the software across its global vehicle programs. Currently, around 18,000 JLR employees use the platform.
Dassault Systèmes also recently built a digital twin solution for Saint-Louis Hospital AP-HP in Paris, creating a twin of its dialysis unit for better operational efficiency. Also making the news, in late 2023, Dassault Systèmes launched another digital twin, Emma, a human body twin for drug trials.
Dassault is thus known for creating innovative digital twin solutions for its customers. Other examples include Damen Shipyards’ building of digital twins using 3DX to design vessels and the Milla Group’s building a virtual twin of one of its factories. In 2018, the company also built a digital twin in Singapore to showcase the impact of digital twins on development and infrastructure management. Dassault Systèmes used its 3DEXPERIENCity platform, another software solution in the organization portfolio, to develop a digital twin of the city-state.
