MILC Integrates Unreal Engine 5: Metaverse 2.0

Our partner, MILC, has unveiled integration with Unreal Engine 5 to help build its metaverse. The platform has announced that the integration will improve the design and functionality of the platform.

For those unfamiliar with the Unreal game engines, they have helped power some of the most critically acclaimed video games on the planet. Examples include the Battlefield series, Ark Survival Evolved, and Batman Arkham series. Thus, Unreal is the gold standard of gaming engines.

Originally developed by Epic Games and first showcased in 1998, the engine has helped grow gaming to where it is today. The last generation of video games used Unreal Engine 4, but with the latest games being developed for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and now the metaverse, Unreal Engine 4, quickly became outdated.

Unreal Engine 5 is the next generation of video game engines powering web3 realities. One of these is the MILC platform, which recently announced its integration of Unreal Engine 5 for certain metaverse components to upgrade the platform’s design and functionality.

Thus, this next technological step for the MILC platform represents a new wave of its metaverse or metaverse 2.0.

We are incredibly excited to see MILC adopt such next generational technology. Unreal Engine 5 is powering the metaverse, and we are starting to see this trend with metaverses adopting Unreal to power their virtual worlds. In the future, expect to see more platforms adopt Unreal Engine 5 as they seek to immerse their audiences into web3.

Check out the teaser video below, which showcases Unreal Engine 5 working with the MILC platform. For more information regarding our collaboration with MILC, check out our partnership announcement here.
