How to Get Into the Metaverse and What to Expect

The metaverse/web3 is the next iteration of the internet, a multi-faceted concept that very few can explain properly right now. As we enter more digital realities, consumers will enter the metaverse and experience it before properly understanding it. This article covers how to get into the metaverse and what to expect.

Put on a VR headset

Yes, I know virtual reality isn’t there yet, giving us full digital immersion, but it is paving the way and showing us what we should expect when the technology is ready. Specifically, Meta Quest, the VR headset owned by the Meta company, can give you that first taste of web3. Meta Quest is currently working hard to develop new experiences that users can immerse themselves in.

Examples include Horizon Zero Worlds, a metaverse virtual reality experience that lets you play games and interact with other users fully online.

This game is just one example of how VR is starting to make its games and experiences more collective, rather than exclusive, in the hope of establishing virtual communities online. If you want to enter the metaverse virtually, this is a good start.

Investing is Another way to Experience the Metaverse

Probably, the most daunting part of this list, but buying a Non-Fungible Token or digital token is a good way to enter the metaverse. If you can get past the minutiae of setting up a digital asset wallet like Metamask or a Trust wallet, you will quickly realize that getting involved in web3 is far easier than you think.

Over the last couple of months, we have started to see growing interoperability between NFT projects and the formation of web3-style communities that encompass digital communities.

Getting involved with projects that place more than the monetized value on their NFTs is a good way to start your journey in the metaverse. For example, NFT gaming projects that add gameplay value to their NFTs are a great entry point.

Pickup a Book

Whether you like reading or not, reading is our main information source for consuming communication, which goes for metaverse content as well. Due to the industry’s infancy, books about web3 are coming hot of the press and onto shelves.

Thus, reading is vital to stay ahead of the trend and educate yourself on the next generation of the internet. At the moment, the masses lack knowledge about web3; reading is one way to overcome this issue.

Events Can get you Physically Engaged in the Metaverse

Its event season for the web3 community, NFT, blockchain, and crypto events are happening worldwide. From the Bahamas to Lisbon, metaverse-style events are exploding, and you need to be there. During these events, you get the chance to meet like-minded individuals and learn about web3. This is another great way you can enter the metaverse.

Final Thoughts

This article has covered how to get into the metaverse and what to expect when you do. Well, what are you waiting for! Get involved and immerse yourself in web 3.
