The UK National Health Services (NHS) is set to provide virtual reality services and therapy for people who fear leaving home.

Utilizing immersive technology, the NHS will offer virtual therapy through a virtual therapist and lifelike, safe digital environments for patients to explore to help with anxiety.

Titled gameChange, the experience was developed by professors at the University of Oxford to help those who suffer from phobias such as agoraphobia, arachnophobia, and claustrophobia. Thus, by simulating lifelike experiences virtually, patients can become more receptive to fears on the road to recovery.
