Hololight Launches First Enterprise-Ready XR Streaming Platform and App Ecosystem at AWE

Insider Brief

  • Hololight has launched its XR Streaming platform.
  • The platform is released at AWE and works with NVIDIA Omniverse to build more immersive digital twins.
PRESS RELEASE – Long Beach, UNDER EMBARGO UNTIL June 18, 2024 – AWE –  Hololight, the leading specialist in AR and VR software for the enterprise market, is showcasing its new ground-breaking enterprise-grade XR streaming platform and XR app ecosystem at  Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2024. The new platform brings together new partners who will take advantage of the company’s streaming technology for their immersive applications.
Attendees of the event in Long Beach will get a chance to see and interact with Hololight Hub, an enterprise-grade, centralized app management platform for hosting, streaming, and scaling all AR/VR applications. Using the web-based platform, enterprises can manage XR applications including a catalog of industrial-grade XR applications from Arthur, Frontline, Matsuko, Taqtile and Uptale. Users can seamlessly access and stream the various XR applications through the Hololight Hub interface installed on the AR/VR devices, benefiting from the performance and security provided by Hololight’s streaming technology.

Streaming the best XR applications on a central platform

The Hololight Hub represents a new concept in the XR space, bringing together the best XR applications on a central platform and making them available to industrial companies. According to Hololight CEO and co-founder Florian Haspinger, AWE is a unique opportunity for the company to showcase this new concept:
“While our streaming technology has always been a significant technological advantage, it is merely a component of the bigger picture. Recognizing that some companies seek comprehensive solutions rather than standalone technologies, Hololight Hub now offers an end-to-end solution. By bringing together leading XR applications from independent software vendors (ISVs) and enterprise-developed XR applications on one platform, we are building an ecosystem of XR applications that address enterprise-level use cases such as design and engineering, training, remote assistance, and front-line worker support. By integrating our streaming technology, partners benefit from enhanced performance and security, as sensitive industrial data remains on the server side.”
Hololight Hub will empower enterprises as they use XR to improve their industrial processes in product development, manufacturing, training, or service, helping companies to build a future-proof infrastructure for XR and promote new forms of collaboration and digital workflows in 3D.

Bringing together leading XR applications from independent software vendors

At AWE, Hololight will showcase Hololight Hub alongside demonstrations from partners Frontline and Taqtile, both leading XR application providers in the enterprise space. Attendees will get a chance to sign up for private demos of the streaming platform and its XR app ecosystem, using the latest AR/VR devices across Meta Quest 3, Lenovo VRX, Magic Leap 2, Microsoft HoloLens 2.
Haspinger continues: “At AWE, we’ll be showing attendees exactly how XR applications can be centrally managed on a platform. Once you enter the Hololight Hub on an AR/VR device, you’ll discover the same applications you’ve been managing in the web browser before. A simple click initiates the application, allowing you to seamlessly access its functionalities.”

Hololight’s wider partner ecosystem

Haspinger also adds that AWE will not just be about showcasing Hololight’s new technology; for the company, it’s also an important community and partner gathering. Among the company’s partners are companies like Qualcomm, Lenovo, Echo3D, Amazon Web Services, DigiLens, Magic Leap and Meta. By collaborating with these players Hololight enables enterprises to deploy Hololight Hub on any server infrastructure and stream applications to any XR device, helping enterprises and ISVs to make the usage of XR more scalable.
Through its partnership with NVIDIA, Hololight enables companies to bring 3D content and digital twin data from NVIDIA Omniverse into the immersive world. AWE visitors will be able to experience realistic high-quality 3D scenes with ray tracing and other real-time rendering effects from NVIDIA Omniverse in augmented and virtual reality.
By partnering with leading ISVs, cloud providers, XR headset manufacturers, and technology companies, Hololight has created the most powerful enterprise XR streaming platform, enabling enterprises to enter the next era of spatial computing.
